Due to the fact that I get a lot of comments concerning my watermark, my love for blood and other things I decided to write down the following FAQ. Please read this entry before you ask me a question!

How and when do you start taking photographs? ¤
I don't know exactly how old I was when I started to take my first photographs - I think I was 16 or something like that. At first I only made selfportraits for different profiles on the internet but then I recognized that I became passionate about taking photographs and so I started my first sessions with friends. I tried to make my own interpretations of photos which I found on the internet and which I really like and tried out a lot of different things.
Today I really cannot live without taking photographs; it's my most important hobby.
Why do you take photographs? ¤
I take photographs because I love to express my feelings and thoughts trough them. Every photo that I create has its own story and is important for me in its own way. I only take them for myself, not for anyone else (of course there are some exceptions when it comes to friends etc.). I know that they are often not perfect but that's not my aim.
What inspires you/where do you get the ideas for your photographs? ¤
Often my photos are inspired by my own little stories which I sometimes write in the description of them. Moreover, all the great artworks I see here on dA or elsewhere on the internet, inspire me. Other things which give me new ideas are my surroundings, music, films, dreams...
How much time do you need for your photographs? ¤
This depends on the photograph itself. There are photos in my gallery which I made in a few minutes and also such ones which cost me about a whole afternoon to get the photos that I wanted, including the design of the whole set. Moreover there is the post-processing which also depends on the image. Altogether I could say that I spend about three hours for a "normal" photograph in my gallery.
Is photography only a hobby for you? ¤
Yes, I'm not professional as you can see and I don't claim to be that. As I wrote above I take photographs only for me and it is not my aim that the quality, the editing, the setting etc. is perfect.
What equipment do you use? ¤
Nothing special. A camera from Olympus and my imagination.
What type of lighting do you use? ¤
Normally I use natural light. If I really need other lightning I simply try out different lamps to get the effect that I want to have.
Which program do you use for editing your photos? ¤
I use different programmes, for example
Gimp or
Photoshop to edit my photographs.
Do you prefer to be the model or the photographer? ¤
In fact I'm often both because I make many selfportraits. But I would say that I prefer to be the photographer simply because that way I have much more control over the photograph I take. Unfortunately I need to be the model in most cases because I don't know enough people who are willing to be my model for all my crazy ideas so I'm very glad that I have such good friends that help me as photographers.
Do you like all the photographs in your gallery? ¤
To be honest: No. There are a few photos which I don't really like but there are also such ones which I simply love. Especially when it comes to sessions with more than only three or four photographs to upload, there are two or three of them which I don't like that much as the others. I only upload such workings because I want to know what others think about them. I only have my own point of view and everyone sees things different than others so it's always a good idea to get the opinion of other persons.
Do you also make other workings than dark & macabre photographs? ¤
Of course! I take various photographs, for example I also photograph landscapes or people. But dark & macabre photographs are my favourites.

Nature Why are you so interested in making gore photographs? ¤
Because I love blood. It's beautiful, it keeps us all alive. It has a special charm. There is nothing more to say.
!PLEASE NOTE!
My gore photographs are not made to glorify any kind of violence - neither violence against others nor any act of self-harm! Do you use real blood for your photographs and if no, how do you make it? ¤
In most cases the blood is not real and if I use real blood, it is my own and not from a pig or something like that. I would never use blood from animals, not only because I'm Vegetarian.
Usually I use fake blood/theatrical blood for my photographs which I buy in different stores. Sometimes I make blood by my own. You can find various different recipes for making blood by your own on the internet.

III. Questions Concerning My dA-Account:
How did you discovered deviantART? ¤
It was a few years ago that I got my first PC and searched for interesting pictures to download. I found wonderful images but I never knew that they were originally uploaded here on dA. One day ~
Kagolein showed me this art site and finally I made an account which I used very rarely. But as I started to take more and more photographs I began to upload them here. And now, a few years later, I cannot imagine life without dA.
What's the story behind your username? ¤
Finally I'm able to change my username! I'm so happy! The word "Spiegelfee" is a combination of mirror and fairy and it stands for me and my love for worlds behind the mirror of life.
Where did you get your icon? ¤
My icon is self-made. I used photographs from a shooting long ago and an animation programme. It is under copyright like all my workings so please don't steal it - make your own, it's not that difficult.

No, not anymore. I made another one long time ago to "reserve" the username which I prefer but now it is no longer necessary to have it, so I deleted it.
Why haven't you replied to my comments, favourites or notes? ¤
I always try to answer every comment, favourite or note that I get. But I also have a real life, so don't be disappointed if I reply not that fast.
Why do you hide all your comments on your profile page? ¤
I simply dont' like stalkers. That's it. I prefer to communicate via notes; that's more personal.
Why do you (sometimes) disable the comment function at your deviations? ¤
There are a few reasons why I decided to do that. Don't get me wrong - I really like feedback. But it's a fact that constructive criticism is very rare here on dA. Moreover, I simply have not the time to answer to every comment. In addition it is more orderly. And last but not least I can put the focus more on the photograph itself as on all the comments below in this way.
Why do you translate the titles of your photographs/why are they sometimes so weird? ¤
For me the title and also the description of every of my photographs is very important as it completes the artwork. I think it's important that others understand the whole message, not only the picture which they see. That's why I translate the German titles in the description of my photographs. Sometimes it's hard to translate them in an adequate way because the two languages are quite different. I try to do my best but I'm not perfect so don't be confused if you cannot understand what I mean with my translation. If you know a better translation for one of my workings don't hesitate to contact me.
How regularly do you upload something/have you a limit for uploads a day? ¤
I really don't want to spam all my watchers so I normally upload one photograph each two days. If I have a lot of workings to upload it could be that I upload two a day but this is the absolute maximum.
Would it be possible to get prints from your photographs? ¤
I don't think that anyone would be interested in prints. But if you are then simply ask me.
What do you think about Llamas? ¤
I don't really care about them. It's a nice game but I don't really collect them or something like that. You can give me one and if I'm in a good mood I will return the favour.
What do you think about chain mails? ¤
Please don't send me such things. I don't really like them.
